Gaza: Several Palestinians suffered from tear gas inhalation on Saturday evening after Israeli forces raided the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the head of Al-Mughayyir Village Council, Amin Abu Aliya, reported that Israeli forces stormed the village, firing volleys of tear gas canisters at residents, which resulted in several people suffering from suffocation.
He further stated that a Palestinian was detained at a military checkpoint set up by Israeli forces at the village's western entrance and was assaulted during this encounter. A child was also detained during the raid, though both were released later.
Abu Aliya noted that Israeli forces subsequently closed the village's western entrance completely, blocking residents from entering or leaving. This entrance serves as the village's sole access point following the closure of its eastern entrance at the end of 2023.
The village of Al-Mughayyir, along with surrounding villages, has faced repeated Israeli military raids. These actions coincide with ongoing attacks by Israeli colonists targeting Palestinian residents and their property.
