Several Palestinians Killed in Israeli Airstrikes in Central Gaza

GAZA CITY: Several Palestinians were killed and others injured in airstrikes conducted by Israeli warplanes in the central Gaza Strip. The strikes, which targeted areas in Deir al-Balah and the al-Maghazi refugee camp, have intensified concerns over the rising toll of the ongoing conflict.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the first strike hit the eastern part of Deir al-Balah, resulting in the deaths of four individuals and injuring several others. The second attack targeted a gathering near Bahloul Station in the al-Maghazi refugee camp, leading to additional civilian casualties.

The ongoing Israeli offensive on Gaza, which has persisted since October 2023, has so far resulted in at least 45,553 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 108,379 others injured. Thousands of victims are believed to be trapped under rubble, remaining inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to continuous Israeli attacks.

Calls for a ceasefire have been made by the UN Security Council, and the International Court of Justice has issued directives urging measures to prevent genocide and address the critical humanitarian situation in Gaza. However, the Israeli military operations continue despite these international appeals.
