Riyadh: Saudi Arabia's Defense Ministry announced on Saturday that air defenses successfully intercepted and destroyed a drone east of the national capital, Riyadh. The ministry confirmed that the unmanned aerial vehicle was neutralized before it could reach its intended target, ensuring the safety of the area. According to Anadolu Agency, earlier on the same day, Saudi authorities reported that a ballistic missile was launched toward Prince Sultan Air Base in Al-Kharj province, southeast of Riyadh. The missile landed in an uninhabited area, causing no casualties or damage, as confirmed by a Defense Ministry spokesperson cited by the official Saudi Press Agency.
