Jerusalem:Riyadh Saudi Arabia has condemned the ongoing provocative actions by Israeli authorities and extremist groups against the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem.
According to Palestine news andInformation Agency, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement expressing Riyadh's strong condemnation of these actions, highlighting the attacks on the mosque's sanctity and its religious and historical significance, which are conducted under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
The statement reiterated Saudi Arabia's rejection of these actions as violations of international law and noted the provocation they cause to Muslims worldwide. Additionally, the Kingdom condemned Israeli statements about annexing areas in southern Lebanon and territories extending to the 'yellow line' in Gaza, rejecting any Israeli expansionist efforts.
Furthermore, Saudi Arabia emphasized the Palestinian people's right to establish an independent state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
