Russia Urges Israel to Reconsider Its Recent Decisions on the West Bank

Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday called on Israel to reconsider its recent decisions regarding the occupied West Bank. Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, emphasized that Israel's actions in the West Bank merit international condemnation and pose serious concerns, describing them as attempts to violate the provisions of the Oslo Accords.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Zakharova highlighted that these decisions significantly hinder prospects for improving conditions in the region and undermine the possibility of achieving a final resolution of the Palestinian issue under international law, specifically based on a two-state solution.

Zakharova stressed the importance of preventing a dangerous escalation of tensions in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the broader region. To this end, she urged Israeli authorities to reconsider any actions aimed at altering the status quo in the West Bank, which could further complicate the peace process.
