Renewed Israeli Bombardment on Gaza Kills Several Palestinians

Gaza City: Renewed Israeli aerial bombardment on Gaza City Tuesday evening killed several Palestinians, according to WAFA correspondent. Israeli warplanes fired missiles at a house in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City, and another house in the Manara neighborhood, south of Khan Younes City, resulting in multiple civilian casualties and injuries.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, Israel’s ongoing offensive in the Gaza Strip continues despite a legally binding decision by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to halt military actions in Rafah. The ICJ’s decision highlights concerns over potential violations of the Genocide Convention by Israel. Since October 7, the conflict has claimed the lives of at least 46,645 Palestinians and injured 110,012 others.

In addition to the reported casualties, more than 10,000 individuals remain unaccounted for, with fears that they may be trapped beneath the ruins of their homes. Reports from Palestinian and international organizations indicate that women and children constitute the majority of the casualties and injuries.

The ongoing Israeli military actions have led to the displacement of nearly two million people across the Gaza Strip. Most of the displaced population has been forced to relocate to Rafah, a densely populated southern city near the Egyptian border, marking the largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
