Prisoners’ Affairs Commission Condemns Denial of Tawjihi Exams to 65 Detainees

Ramallah: The Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs announced that the Israeli occupation's decision to prevent 65 imprisoned students from taking the General Secondary Education Examination (Tawjihi) is a violation of their right to education.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the commission released a statement calling on international institutions and human rights organizations to fulfill their responsibilities in safeguarding the rights of Palestinian prisoners. The commission urged these bodies to ensure that detained students have the opportunity to pursue their education and complete their academic studies, as outlined by international humanitarian law and international human rights law.
