Ramallah: President Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday received the credentials of Sun Zhen as head of the Representative Office of the People's Republic of China to the State of Palestine. The ceremony marked the official commencement of Sun Zhen's duties in his new role.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, the credentials ceremony was attended by several key Palestinian figures, including Presidential adviser for diplomatic affairs Majdi al-Khaldi, Presidential adviser for international relations Riyad al-Maliki, and Presidential Guard Commander Maj. Gen. Mohammad Daajneh. During the ceremony, Sun Zhen reviewed the guard of honor, which had been assembled to welcome him.
President Abbas extended a warm welcome to the new Chinese representative, wishing him success in his new position. He expressed optimism that Sun Zhen's tenure would contribute positively to the strengthening and development of bilateral relations between the State of Palestine and the People's Republic of China.
