Cairo: President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas received on Sunday evening at his residence in the Egyptian capital Cairo, Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit. The President briefed Aboul Gheit on the latest developments related to the Palestinian cause, in light of the ongoing war of genocide against the Palestinian people, and the efforts made by the Palestinian leadership to stop the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and to implement the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice in accordance with the resolution of the United Nations General Assembly, and the Arab and international efforts hoped for during the extraordinary joint Arab-Islamic follow-up summit in the city of Riyadh, which will be held on November 11. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the meeting underscored the importance of Arab unity and international cooperation to address the challenges facing the Palestinian p eople. The discussions highlighted the need to mobilize support for the Palestinian cause and to ensure the protection of Palestinian rights amidst the ongoing conflict. The upcoming summit in Riyadh is expected to play a crucial role in galvanizing these efforts.
