Ramallah: On behalf of President Mahmoud Abbas, Palestinian Police Director General Maj. Gen. Allam Al-Saqqa awarded the Medal of Appreciation to Karin Limdal, Head of the European Union Police and Rule of Law Mission for the Palestinian Territories, in recognition of her contributions to strengthening the Palestinian police and justice sector.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the award was presented during a ceremony held at the Palestinian Police Headquarters in Ramallah to mark the conclusion of Limdal's mission in Palestine. President Abbas bestowed the medal in recognition of Limdal's role in supporting and enhancing the capacities of the Palestinian Police, the Ministry of Justice, and the broader justice sector. The accolade also acknowledged her efforts to uphold the rule of law and improve justice policies in Palestine, as well as her role in fostering friendship and cooperation between the European Union and Palestine.
Al-Saqqa praised the EU mission's support for the development of the Palestinian police institution, highlighting Limdal's efforts in deepening partnership and cooperation between the two sides. Limdal expressed her gratitude for the honor, affirming that support for the Palestinian Police and justice sector will remain a priority for the EU mission as part of its ongoing partnership with Palestinian institutions. She noted that such cooperation contributes to promoting security, the rule of law, and service to Palestinian society.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Police Director General Brig. Gen. Rashid Al-Hamdan, several senior police officials, the Inspector General, department directors, and a number of senior advisers from the EU Police Mission.
