MADRID: President Mahmoud Abbas Friday offered his condolences to Spain following the deadly flooding that resulted in many deaths and caused extensive damage in the eastern region of Valencia. President Abbas sent two separate cables of condolences to Spain's King Felipe VI and Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, extending his heartfelt condolences to King Felipe, the Spanish government and people, and to the families of the deceased, praying for the speedy recovery of the casualties and return for the missing. According to Palestine news and Information Agency - WAFA, President Abbas affirmed Palestine's solidarity with the friendly Kingdom of Spain in this natural disaster and expressed willingness to assist rescue teams in mitigating the effects of the torrential flooding. Meanwhile, the Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ministry also extended its condolences to Spain, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured and the safety of the missing.
