Ramallah: President Mahmoud Abbas on Thursday awarded European Union Representative to Palestine Alexandre Stutzmann the Star of Jerusalem, one of the highest honors of the Order of Jerusalem. President Abbas presented the award during a meeting with Stutzmann, who has completed his term as the EU representative to Palestine.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the President honored Stutzmann in recognition of his role in strengthening friendship and cooperation between Palestine and the European Union, as well as his efforts to support the Palestinian people and their just cause for freedom and independence.
President Abbas praised the outgoing EU representative for his efforts during his tenure to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation between Palestine and the European Union, and wished him success in his future duties.
