Rafah: The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) announced its involvement in the evacuation of patients and their companions for medical treatment outside the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing. This operation was conducted in coordination with the World Health Organization (WHO).
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, the evacuation process included 31 patients and 60 companions. These individuals were initially gathered at the PRCS's Al-Mawasi field hospital in Khan Younis. They were then transported and escorted to the Rafah crossing point, following approved humanitarian and logistical arrangements.
The PRCS stated that this operation is part of its ongoing efforts to assist patients needing treatment unavailable in the Gaza Strip due to challenging health conditions and a severe shortage of medical resources. The organization, in collaboration with the WHO, remains committed to facilitating medical evacuations and ensuring the safe transport of patients and their companions. This initiative is crucial to providing access to specialized medical facilities outside the Gaza Strip.
