Ramallah: A report by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) showed a decrease in the Trade Balance Deficit for Registered Goods by 5% in August 2025 compared to August 2024.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, exports increased in August 2025 by 29% compared to August 2024, reaching USD 176.6 million. Exports to Israel rose by 32% during the same period and represented 92% of total exports in August 2025. Meanwhile, exports to other countries increased by 5%.
Imports also saw a rise in August 2025, growing by 2% compared to the previous year, and reaching USD 653.2 million. Imports from Israel increased by 14% and accounted for 64% of total imports in August 2025. However, imports from other countries decreased by 13% compared to August 2024.
The trade balance, which reflects the difference between exports and imports, showed a 5% decrease in the trade deficit in August 2025 compared to August 2024, amounting to USD 476.6 million.
