Ramallah: The Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted that Thursday will see partly cloudy to clear skies and relatively cold temperatures during the day, turning cold at night, particularly in the mountainous regions. The temperatures are expected to remain stable, with westerly to southwesterly winds blowing lightly to moderately, occasionally becoming active. Sea waves are expected to remain low. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the weather will maintain its partly cloudy and cold conditions into the evening and night, especially in mountainous areas. Winds will shift slightly to become southwesterly to westerly, remaining light to moderate, with sea waves continuing to be low. As the week progresses, Friday is expected to mirror Thursday's weather with partly cloudy and relatively cold conditions during the day, turning cold at night, especially in high-altitude areas. Scattered light rain may make an appearance in some regions during the night, with winds sh ifting to southeasterly to easterly, remaining light, and low sea waves. Saturday, however, is expected to bring a significant change as the forecast predicts a hot, dusty, and cloudy day with a rise in temperatures and scattered light rain across most areas. Winds will increase to moderate to brisk, blowing from the southeast to southwest, and the sea will transition to slight to moderate conditions. A more drastic change is anticipated on Sunday when a low-pressure system coupled with a cold air mass is set to affect the country. A noticeable drop in temperatures is expected, with scattered showers anticipated across most areas, particularly in the evening and night, possibly accompanied by thunderstorms. Winds will be brisk, blowing from the southwest to west, with occasional strong gusts reaching up to 60 km/h, and sea waves will be high. The PMD has issued a warning for individuals with respiratory conditions due to the increased dust concentration in the air, particularly on Saturday, urging them to take necessary precautions.
