Gaza: Paris expressed on Monday its concern over the acts of violence committed by Israeli colonists in the occupied West Bank.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Pascal Confavreux, Spokesperson of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, took to social media platform X to articulate France's deep concern regarding the recent violence in the West Bank. He emphasized the need for 'calm and restraint' amid the Israeli occupation authorities' announcement of launching a significant military aggression in the region.
Confavreux further highlighted that the ongoing settlement activity is intensifying tensions and noted the rise in settler violence. He reaffirmed France's support for the two-state solution as the sole viable option for ending the cycle of violence, stressing the necessity of this approach in addressing the current unrest.
