Palestinians Suffocate in Israeli Army Raid in Southern West Bank Town.

Bethlehem: Several Palestinians suffocated Tuesday evening during an Israeli army raid in al-Khader town, south of the occupied West Bank city of Bethlehem. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the occupation forces stormed the town and deployed in the vicinity of a local mosque and two neighborhoods. They fired barrages of live ammunition, as well as concussion and tear gas bombs, towards the villagers' houses and vehicles. This resulted in several suffocation cases and caused damage to some cars. Israeli occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank, citing the search for "wanted" Palestinians as a pretext. These operations often trigger clashes with residents. The raids also occur in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, conducted without the need for a search warrant, as the military exercises its sweeping arbitrary powers. Under Israeli military law, army commanders hold full executive, legislative, and judicial autho rity over the 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank.
