Gaza city: A Palestinian youth was killed and two others were injured, one critically, this evening in an attack by Israeli colonists on the village of Hajja, east of Qalqilya. The Ministry of Health said 20-year-old Omar Mohammad Toubasi succumbed to a gunshot wound to the head sustained during the attack.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its crews treated two people who sustained live-fire wounds during the colonists' attack. One individual was shot in the head and later pronounced dead, while another sustained a gunshot wound to the chest and was in critical condition. Additionally, a 17-year-old boy was shot in the thigh, and the injured were transferred to the hospital for treatment.
The attack comes amid escalating violations by Israeli occupation forces and terrorist colonists against Palestinians, their lands, and property. According to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, Israeli occupation forces and colonists carried out 2,030 attacks during August, including 1,402 by occupation forces and 628 by colonists. The attacks were concentrated in the governorates of Nablus, Ramallah and Al-Bireh, Hebron, Bethlehem, Jenin, and Jerusalem.
