Palestinian Prisoners’ Society Reports Surge in Israeli Arrests, Field Interrogations in the West Bank

Beit ummar: The Palestinian Prisoners' Society said that the systematic arrests and field interrogations carried out by Israeli authorities in the West Bank are ongoing and escalating.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, in a press release, the PPS affirmed that the town of Beit Ummar witnessed an ongoing assault last night, during which Israeli forces conducted extensive field interrogations. Eyewitnesses from the town reported that these interrogations targeted approximately 200 residents, including families of slain Palestinians.

The statement added that the field interrogations were accompanied by torture, severe beatings, and widespread destruction of household property as part of the so-called "price tag" policy. Furthermore, the forces stole money and gold jewelry, confiscated vehicles and electronic devices, turned homes into military points, used residents as human shields, and distributed leaflets containing direct threats against the population.

He emphasized that the level of brutality practiced by Israeli soldiers during arrest operations has reached an unprecedented degree, targeting various segments of Palestinian society, including children, women, and the elderly. This reaffirms that arrest remains a central tool in the occupation's ongoing war against our people.

The PPS affirmed that arrest campaigns in the West Bank, along with extensive field interrogations, have affected approximately 20,500 residents from various segments of society since October 7, 2025.
