Palestinian Man Killed in Israeli Airstrike in Shuja’iyya Neighborhood

Gaza city: A Palestinian man was killed Sunday evening when Israeli warplanes bombed a group of civilians east of Gaza City.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, medical sources reported that the airstrike targeted the Shuja'iyya neighborhood in the Tuffah district, northeast of Gaza City, resulting in several other civilians being wounded.

Since the morning of the incident, the Israeli army has been conducting a demolition operation north of Rafah. This activity has been accompanied by heavy gunfire from Israeli helicopters east of Khan Younis, which is seen as a continued violation of the ceasefire agreement.

The death toll since the ceasefire agreement of October 11 has reached 266, with 635 individuals wounded. Additionally, 548 bodies have been recovered in the aftermath of the conflict.

The overall death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen dramatically to 69,483 since the aggression began on October 7, 2023. The majority of the deceased are reported to be children and women. The number of injuries has climbed to 170,706, with many victims still trapped under rubble, as ambulance and rescue teams face challenges in reaching them.
