Gaza city: A Palestinian man named Khader Yousef Fayyad succumbed to his wounds 20 days after being injured in an Israeli attack in the central Gaza Strip. Local sources reported that Israeli forces targeted civilian homes east of Deir al-Balah with heavy gunfire on Sunday evening. The attack originated from armored vehicles that advanced from the Kissufim military site, reaching the vicinity of a pharmaceutical factory.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, earlier in the day, three Palestinians were killed and others were wounded in Israeli shelling of Gaza City and Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip. Medical sources revealed that the total number of Palestinians admitted to Gaza hospitals in the past 24 hours reached 11, with 9 sustaining injuries. Several victims remain trapped under rubble and in the streets, hindering rescue efforts.
The sources further noted that the total number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire on October 11 has risen to 601, while the total number of injuries has reached 1,607. Additionally, a total of 726 bodies have been recovered, highlighting the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the region.
