Hebron: A Palestinian man was seriously wounded by Israeli army gunfire and another was injured in an assault by Israeli colonists on Friday in the al-Jalatiya area, east of the town of Idhna, west of Hebron. The incident highlights the ongoing tensions and violence in the region.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, the Palestine Red Crescent Society reported that its crews treated two injuries at the scene. One man sustained two gunshot wounds to the abdomen and was reported to be in critical condition. Another individual suffered injuries after being physically assaulted by colonists.
The attack is part of a series of escalating colonist activities in al-Jalatiya. Earlier in the day, colonists were observed plowing Palestinian-owned land for a second consecutive day. They also raised Israeli flags, blocked access roads with dirt mounds and stones, and prevented residents from accessing their lands, which is seen as an attempt to seize control of the area.
