Gaza: A Palestinian was killed on Monday evening in an Israeli strike targeting an electric bike opposite the Al-Zawaida area in the central Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, medical sources at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah reported that one fatality arrived at the hospital after an Israeli combat drone struck an electric bike on Salah al-Din Street. This street is the primary north-to-south highway spanning the entire length of the conflict-stricken Strip.
Earlier on Monday, six Palestinians were killed and more than 20 others were injured due to Israeli gunfire and strikes across the Gaza Strip. Israel has been conducting a military operation in the Strip since October 7, 2023, resulting in the deaths of over 73,283 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, and injuring 173,864 others. The infrastructure in Gaza has suffered significantly, with 90% reportedly destroyed, leading to a reconstruction cost estimated at $70 billion.
Since the ceasefire agreement went into effect on October 11, 2025, Israel has killed 1,158 Palestinians and injured 3,756 others. During the same period, the bodies of 802 slain Palestinians have been recovered.
In the past 24 hours, Gaza hospitals have admitted the bodies of three slain Palestinians along with 22 casualties. Additionally, at least 10,000 people remain unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.
The ongoing Israeli aggression has also led to the displacement of nearly two million people from across the Gaza Strip. The majority of the displaced have been forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the Egyptian border, marking Palestine's largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
