Gaza: A Palestinian on Friday evening sustained a shrapnel injury from Israeli military gunfire near the entrance to the village of Surra, southwest of Nablus, according to medical sources.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Director of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society's Ambulance and Emergency Center in Nablus, Emad Ahmad, reported that ambulance crews treated a 74-year-old man who was injured by live ammunition shrapnel. The incident occurred when Israeli occupation soldiers opened fire at his vehicle near the village entrance.
Earlier in the day, the situation escalated as dozens of Israeli colonists attacked the western outskirts of the village. The attackers assaulted three Palestinians, set fire to six homes and five vehicles, and destroyed a vast tract of land planted with vegetables and fruit trees.
