Palestinian Couple Injured in Attack by Israeli Colonists Near Hebron

Yatta:A Palestinian man and his wife sustained injuries after being attacked by Israeli colonists in the town of Yatta, south of Hebron.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, local sources reported that the couple, Yousif Shanaran and his wife, were attacked after colonists surrounded their home in the Wadi al-Rakhim area. The assault resulted in various injuries and bruises for both individuals.

Earlier that evening, the Shanaran residence was also targeted with stones, leading to material damage. Incidents of violence by colonists against Palestinians and their properties are common in the West Bank, with few prosecutions by Israeli authorities.

Such violence often includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, and the destruction of crops and olive trees. Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists reside in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which is considered a violation of international law.
