Ramallah: Israeli occupation authorities have issued a military seizure order for the temporary confiscation of 16.577 dunums of land belonging to the village of Dura al-Qar', northeast of Ramallah and al-Bireh, for military purposes. The order will remain in effect until the end of 2028.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission reported that the order targets a 2,076-meter-long strip of land surrounding the colony of Beit El on three sides. In its mid-year 2026 report, the Commission documented the issuance of 40 military land seizure orders for military purposes, targeting a total of 611 dunums of Palestinian-owned land.
The orders have led to the establishment of four buffer zones around colonies, the construction of 16 security roads, the establishment of 12 military sites, and other military-related uses.
