Bethlehem: Israeli occupation forces stormed on Sunday the village of Al-Rashayda, east of Bethlehem, and raided a mosque. Salameh Rashayda, deputy head of the Al-Rashayda village council, told WAFA correspondent that Israeli forces stormed the village, raided the courtyard of Harun Al-Rashid Mosque during the Eid al-Fitr prayers and shattered the windows and slashed the tires of several vehicles. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the incident occurred during the sacred Eid al-Fitr prayers, a time of significant importance to the Muslim community. The actions of the Israeli forces have raised tensions in the region, as the destruction included damage to both personal and public property. The attack on the mosque and the vandalism of vehicles have drawn widespread condemnation from local leaders and residents. Salameh Rashayda emphasized the distress caused to the community, particularly as the raid took place during a religious celebration. The village council is urging for an inter national response to prevent further escalations and protect places of worship and the community's rights.
