Gaza: Israeli occupation forces this morning began large-scale demolition operations in the al-Saqi area of Birzeit, north of Ramallah. Eyewitnesses reported that the forces raided the area beneath the Atara Bridge and initiated the demolition of several Palestinian-owned homes.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission had earlier reported that Israeli occupation authorities carried out 70 demolition operations in July. These operations targeted 155 Palestinian structures, comprising 39 inhabited homes and 99 agricultural structures. The demolitions were predominantly concentrated in the Qalqiliya and Jerusalem governorates.
Furthermore, the authorities issued 51 demolition notices, with a significant number directed at structures in the Bethlehem and Hebron governorates. The ongoing demolitions have raised concerns among Palestinian communities regarding displacement and the impact on their livelihoods.
