Silwan: Israeli occupation authorities on Sunday issued a demolition order against a Palestinian-owned home in the neighborhood of Silwan, in occupied East Jerusalem. Local sources reported that Israeli forces handed Jawad Abu Ramouz, a local Palestinian citizen, a demolition order for his home in the Al-Bustan area of Silwan.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, the Jerusalem Governorate stated that teams from the Israeli municipality, accompanied by Israeli forces, entered several homes in Al-Bustan and conducted searches. No arrests or additional demolition notices were reported during this operation.
These measures are part of Israel's ongoing policy in Silwan, particularly targeting the Al-Bustan area. Residents continue to face threats of demolition and displacement, which are linked to settlement plans aimed at changing the demographic and geographic characteristics of the area surrounding the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
