Washington: Jordan’s King Abdullah II has reiterated his country’s firm stance against the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank. Speaking on Tuesday after his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House, King Abdullah emphasized that Jordan remains steadfast in rejecting any forced relocation of Palestinians, aligning with the unified Arab position.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, King Abdullah stated, “I reaffirmed Jordan’s firm stance against the displacement of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. This is the unified Arab position.” He highlighted the importance of rebuilding Gaza without displacing its residents and addressing the humanitarian situation as a priority for all involved parties.
The King also noted the importance of de-escalating tensions in the West Bank to prevent further deterioration, warning that continued unrest could have regional consequences. He reiterated that a just peace based on a two-state solution is the only viable path to achieving stability in the region. “We will continue to play an active role with our partners to achieve a just and comprehensive peace for all,” he affirmed.
