NICOSIA: King Abdullah II of Jordan, Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades, and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis convened for a Trilateral Summit on Wednesday in Nicosia. The leaders discussed pressing regional issues, with a strong focus on the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the discussions emphasized the importance of protecting civilians and enhancing the humanitarian response in Gaza. The leaders also expressed concern over the violence by extremist colonists against Palestinians in the West Bank and urged the creation of a political framework to achieve a just and comprehensive peace, grounded in the two-state solution.
