Jordan Condemns Storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli Minister, Ben Gvir

Jordan: Jordan on Tuesday condemned the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem by Israel's so-called National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, under the protection of Israeli occupation police, as reported by Jordan's news agency, Petra.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, spokesperson of Jordan's Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs, Fouad Majali, described the storming as 'a blatant violation of the legal and historical status quo at the Haram al-Sharif, a desecration of its sanctity, and a dangerous escalation and unacceptable provocation.'

Majali stressed that Israel has no sovereignty over occupied Jerusalem or its Islamic and Christian holy sites. He emphasized that the Kingdom rejects and condemns the continued incursions by the extremist minister, as well as the facilitation of these repeated violations by the Israeli occupation police. The spokesperson labeled the actions as provocative and inflammatory.
