Gaza City: At least 60 Palestinians were killed and 284 others were injured in the Gaza Strip over the last 24 hours as a result of the ongoing Israeli genocide in the region, according to medical sources.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, local health authorities confirmed that the Palestinian death toll from the Israeli onslaught since October 2023 has risen to 54,381 fatalities, with an additional 124,381 people sustaining injuries. The majority of the victims are women and children.
The death toll since Israel's resumption of the genocide on March 18 after a two-month truce has also climbed to 4,117, with 12,013 others injured. Emergency services continue to face challenges in reaching many casualties and dead bodies trapped under the rubble or scattered on roads across the war-torn enclave. Israeli occupation forces are reportedly targeting ambulance and civil defense crews, further complicating rescue efforts.
Despite calls from the United Nations Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation, Israel's genocidal onslaught continues undeterred in Gaza.
