Israeli Strikes in Khan Yunis and Gaza Result in Five Palestinian Fatalities

Gaza city: At least five Palestinians were killed and several others were injured on Saturday evening in Israeli shelling of the cities of Khan Yunis and Gaza.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Israeli forces targeted a gathering of citizens on Trans Street in the Al-Amal neighborhood north of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of three individuals and wounding several others. Additionally, one civilian was killed when Israeli occupation forces targeted a house near the Tamraz gas station on Al-Jalaa Street in Gaza City. Another civilian was also killed when occupation forces targeted a house east of the Asqoula Junction in the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of the city.

Numerous civilians were reported injured as Israeli fighter jets struck a house belonging to the Al-Sharif family on Hamid Street, west of Gaza City. The ongoing conflict has seen Israeli occupation forces launch an offensive on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, leading to the deaths of 64,803 Palestinians, the majority of whom were children and women. The offensive also resulted in the wounding of 164,264 others. Many victims remain buried under the rubble of targeted buildings and in the streets, as Israeli bombardment continues to hinder the efforts of ambulances and rescue crews.
