Nablus: Israeli occupation forces briefly detained journalists and medics and abducted other residents following a raid on the Old City of Nablus that began in the early hours of Sunday morning.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the forces carried out an incursion involving live ammunition and sealed off the Old City, surrounding journalists in the al-Yasmina neighborhood as they covered the events.
Ghassan Hamdan, director of the Medical Relief Society in Nablus, informed WAFA that Israeli forces directly targeted two medics with gunfire, though no injuries occurred. The medics were briefly detained inside al-Satoun Mosque, where dozens of worshippers had also been held since dawn before being released.
Reports from the same sources indicate that undercover Israeli special forces infiltrated the al-Qaryoun neighborhood, with several military vehicles converging on the Old City from different directions. The Israeli forces were seen deploying across various neighborhoods and the eastern market area, amid the sound of gunfire.
Additionally, the forces reportedly fired live rounds at a vehicle in the Ras al-Ein neighborhood, resulting in material damage but no injuries. The vehicle's passengers were successfully evacuated.
