Israeli Police Detain Hundreds of Palestinian Workers Inside 48-Occupied Territories

Tel Aviv: Israeli police detained on Sunday 432 Palestinian workers inside the 1948 territories today. Local sources reported that the Israeli police launched a wide-scale campaign of raids throughout the 1948 territories, during which they detained 432 workers from the West Bank on the pretext of “residence without permits.”

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the Israeli police continue to pursue Palestinian workers on the pretext of “residence without permits.” This detention is part of a broader strategy, as Israel has been preventing about 200,000 Palestinian workers from entering and working in the 1948 territories since October 7, 2023.

The detentions highlight ongoing tensions and the impact of restrictive measures on Palestinian workers, who seek employment opportunities within the 1948 territories. The situation remains complex, with implications for both the local economy and the daily lives of those affected.
