Ramallah:Israeli occupation forces entered the courtyard of the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah today, deploying snipers around its entrances. They also blocked entry to and exit from the facility.
According to Palestine news and Information Agency, local sources indicated that military reinforcements accompanied the forces into the complex's courtyard. Additionally, an occupation army force, with two tow trucks, patrolled the streets of Al-Bireh, the Al-Tireh neighborhood, and the town of Sarda-north of Ramallah.
Earlier, occupation forces stormed the Legislative Council Roundabout in central Ramallah, firing live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets, and tear gas canisters, targeting journalists present in the area. Firas Lutfi, a journalist with Sky News Arabia, was injured by shrapnel after being hit by a tear gas canister.
The forces also raided the headquarters of the Al-Dameer organization, seizing equipment and files. A citizen was detained after being assaulted on the street toward the Ramallah Municipality.
During the ongoing raid, a 14-year-old child was shot in the upper thigh, and dozens suffered from tear gas inhalation. The Ministry of Health reported that a young man sustained serious injuries from live ammunition.
Previously, the Al-Haq/Addameer organization had been shut down in 2022. This action followed a raid where premises were ransacked, and files were confiscated, after the Israeli Defense Minister's designation of the organization as a "terrorist" entity, based on the "Counter-Terrorism Law" of 2016 and information from the "NGO Monitor" group.
