Israeli Forces Shoot Palestinian Man and Detain Six Others in Hebron

Hebron: A young Palestinian man was shot by Israeli occupation forces at dawn on Saturday, and six others, including two women, were arrested from various parts of the Hebron Governorate. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, local and security sources reported that a young man was shot in the thigh by Israeli occupation forces while near his home in the village of Tabqa in the town of Dura, southwest of Hebron. The forces reportedly prevented an ambulance from reaching him, leaving him to bleed for approximately an hour before he was transported by Palestinian Red Crescent crews to Dura Governmental Hospital for treatment, where his injury was described as moderate. In addition to the shooting, Israeli occupation forces arrested Ahmed Muhammad Hamdan from Dura after raiding and searching his family's home. In the eastern town of Bani Naim, soldiers arrested Mustafa Issam Manasra, Hazem Abdullah Issa Manasra, and Alaa Muhammad Gharib. Their homes were searched and ransacked, and a sum o f money was seized from the woman's home. Furthermore, soldiers also arrested Anis Abdul Wadud Ghaith from the city of Hebron and Israa Ashraf Khamayseh from the town of Taffuh, west of Hebron, after searching and ransacking their homes. Several military checkpoints were also set up at the entrances to Hebron and its surrounding areas, with several main and side roads closed using iron gates, concrete blocks, and earth mounds.
