Israeli Forces Shoot Palestinian, Assault Another in Jenin

Jenin: Israeli occupation forces on Thursday evening shot a Palestinian and assaulted another in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS). The incident involved a 14-year-old minor who sustained a live gunshot wound to the lower back and was subsequently transferred to a hospital for medical treatment.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the PRCS reported that its crews also evacuated another Palestinian who was severely beaten up by Israeli troops. The violence occurred when occupying forces entered the Al-Zayed Roundabout area of Jenin, following an earlier incident where dozens of Palestinians surrounded an Israeli-licensed vehicle.

In response, Israeli soldiers sealed off the area, rounded up several young men, and broke into commercial shops, ransacking their contents. Earlier in the day, two colonists had driven their vehicle into the city, allegedly coming under a stone-throwing attack. The colonists were unharmed in the incident.
