Nablus: Israeli occupation forces closed the western entrance of the village of Burqa, northwest of Nablus, with earth mounds before dawn on Sunday.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, local sources reported that Israeli forces blocked the village's secondary western entrance, leaving all main entrances to Burqa closed. Concurrently, Israeli forces conducted raids on several homes in the village at dawn, searching them, ransacking their contents, and subjecting a number of residents to field interrogation.
Israeli forces had previously closed the main western entrance to Burqa three years ago. This action is part of a policy of collective punishment imposed on the village's residents, who have faced repeated attacks by Israeli colonists from the nearby Homesh colony, which is built on their lands.
