Tulkarm: Israeli forces on Monday night raided the headquarters of the Central Zakat Committee in the Irtah suburb, south of Tulkarm city, and detained several Palestinians from the Gaza Strip who were inside the building, according to eyewitnesses.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, eyewitnesses reported that an Israeli military force comprised of around seven military vehicles and a truck entered the suburb and surrounded the building before storming it. The forces proceeded to smash and ransack the contents of the headquarters.
The witnesses further stated that Israeli forces detained several Palestinians from the Gaza Strip who were present in the building and transported them to the truck. The forces maintained their presence in the area and imposed tightened restrictions, though the exact number of detainees remains unknown.
