Israeli Forces Raid Homes of Freed Prisoners in Hebron, Assault Journalist


Hebron: Israeli occupation forces on Saturday raided the homes of several recently released Palestinian prisoners as part of a wider crackdown following the fourth prisoner exchange under the Gaza ceasefire agreement. During the raids, a journalist was also assaulted.



According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, Israeli forces stormed the home of freed prisoner Imad Abu Ramouz in the Al-Haras neighborhood of Hebron, coinciding with his release.



The soldiers also raided the home of freed prisoner Sidqi Al-Zaro and issued threats to their families, warning them against celebrating their release or displaying national flags and banners.



Meanwhile, Israeli troops assaulted journalist Musab Shawar while he was covering the raid on Abu Ramouz’s home. Shawar sustained bruises and was transferred to Alia Governmental Hospital for treatment.
