HEBRON: Israeli occupation forces have again prevented Palestinian citizens from accessing their lands and harvesting olives in the Tel Rumeida neighborhood of Hebron, located in the southern West Bank. This latest incident occurred on Sunday, as the occupation forces confiscated olive harvests from the Quneibi family and forced them to leave their land. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Israeli soldiers stopped the Quneibi family from picking olives from their land in Tel Rumeida and seized the olives they had already gathered. The soldiers further expelled the family from their property, making it impossible for them to continue the harvest. Since the outbreak of the Israeli aggression against Palestinians in early October 2023, Israeli forces have imposed ongoing restrictions on farmers across the West Bank, particularly during the olive harvest season. Palestinians in many areas, especially in regions like Tel Rumeida, have been denied access to their fields, causing significant losses to the olive crop, which is a vital part of the local economy and cultural heritage.
