Israeli Forces Issue Demolition Order for 25 Buildings in Tulkarm’s Nur Shams Camp

Tulkarm: Israeli occupation forces have issued a military order to demolish 25 additional buildings in Nur Shams refugee camp, located east of Tulkarm. The order was announced on Sunday, raising concerns among local authorities and residents.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Tulkarm Governor Abdullah Kmail has called on the international community, human rights institutions, diplomatic missions, and embassies to take immediate and urgent action to halt the demolition decision. He emphasized that the order is a continuation of Israeli actions against the Palestinian people in Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps.

Governor Kmail highlighted that this decision is part of a broader campaign targeting civilians and their properties, resulting in the forced displacement of residents from the camps. He stated that these measures are violations of international law, international norms, conventions, and international human rights and humanitarian law.

He reiterated the need for urgent intervention to put an end to the ongoing aggression against the Tulkarm governorate, including its refugee camps, villages, and towns.
