Tel aviv: Israeli forces have reportedly attacked the Freedom Flotilla as it sailed towards the Gaza Strip, according to the International Committee to Break the Siege on Gaza. The flotilla, consisting of 11 ships, was intercepted in international waters, 120 nautical miles (220 km) from Gaza. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the flotilla had embarked on its journey from Italy a few days prior to the incident. This attack follows a similar event involving the Global Steadfastness Flotilla, where Israeli forces detained hundreds of activists before releasing most of them. The International Committee to Break the Siege on Gaza has voiced its concerns over the repeated actions against flotillas attempting to reach Gaza, viewing them as a violation of international maritime laws. The motive of the Freedom Flotilla was to deliver humanitarian aid and draw attention to the ongoing blockade of Gaza.
