Israeli Forces Hinder Medical Crews’ Work at Checkpoints Around Nablus

Nablus: Israeli occupation forces continue to obstruct the work of medical teams by tightening restrictions at military checkpoints across the Nablus governorate in the occupied West Bank. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Nablus Emergency and Ambulance Center director Ameed Ahmad stated that Israeli forces have continued to impede ambulance crews by imposing stricter measures at military checkpoints, delaying the movement of ambulances and hindering their access to patients and injured people.

He further explained that Israeli forces have been documented preventing or delaying the transfer of medical cases from outside the governorate to hospitals inside Nablus. Additionally, there have been instances where several kidney dialysis patients have been prevented from entering the governorate to receive necessary treatment.

Ahmad mentioned that coordination efforts with the International Committee of the Red Cross are underway to facilitate patients' access to hospitals amidst these ongoing challenges.
