Hebron: Israeli occupation forces prevented Palestinians from plowing and cultivating their lands on Wednesday and seized agricultural equipment in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron. Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamreh reported that the occupation forces attacked Palestinians while they were plowing their lands in the Shaab al-Batm area in Masafer Yatta. The forces seized agricultural equipment belonging to citizen Mahmoud Yousef al-Jabarin and forced the farmers to leave their lands.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the incident reflects ongoing tensions in the region, particularly regarding land use and occupation. The Palestinian farmers were engaged in routine agricultural activities when they were confronted by the Israeli forces, who then reportedly seized their equipment and disrupted their efforts to cultivate their lands.
This development is part of a broader context of challenges faced by Palestinians in the area, where land disputes and restrictions imposed by Israeli
forces have been a consistent issue. The actions of the occupation forces are seen as part of an overarching strategy impacting the agricultural livelihood of the Palestinian communities in and around Masafer Yatta.
