Israeli Forces Detain Young Man in Bethlehem During Raid

Bethlehem:Israeli occupation forces detained a young man from Bethlehem on Tuesday following a raid on his family's home. The forces also conducted operations in several neighborhoods of the city, including the Dheisheh refugee camp.

According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, security sources indicated that 18-year-old Thaer Issa Soman was detained after forces raided and searched his father's house in the Al-Fawaghra neighborhood.

The occupation forces also entered other areas such as the Al-Ribat Mosque neighborhood, the Jerusalem-Hebron road, Jabal al-Mawalih, and Manger Square, where they conducted searches in several homes. No additional detentions were reported from these areas.

In the Dheisheh refugee camp, south of Bethlehem, the forces' activities included entering the camp, although it is not clear what specific actions were taken or if any residents were detained during the operation.

The Bethlehem Governorate regularly experiences similar military incursions where homes are raided and searched, residents are detained, and checkpoints are established, restricting movement in the area.
