Israeli Forces Detain Workers and Briefly Detain Hebron Mayor During Rehabilitation Projects

Hebron: Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday detained three workers from the Hebron Rehabilitation Committee and briefly detained Hebron Mayor Yousef al-Jaabari while they were carrying out and inspecting rehabilitation projects in Jaber neighborhood in the Old City of Hebron.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Hebron Municipality's Public Relations Director Ghaith Ghaith reported that Israeli forces briefly detained the mayor and several engineers during their inspection of a street rehabilitation and paving project in Jaber neighborhood. They were later released.

Meanwhile, activist Aref Jaber stated that Israeli forces detained three workers from the Hebron Rehabilitation Committee along with a technical team working on well rehabilitation in the Jaber neighborhood.

Jaber neighborhood and other areas within Hebron's Old City have been subjected to ongoing Israeli restrictions. These include the suspension of development projects, restrictions on residents, and the obstruction of basic services.
