Ramallah: Israeli occupation forces detained six Palestinians on Friday while they were harvesting olives in the village of Kafr Ni'ma, west of Ramallah.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the arrests occurred following an attack by Israeli colonists on the harvesters. Israeli soldiers present at the scene supported the colonists during the assault.
Palestinian farmers frequently encounter violence and intimidation from Israeli colonists during the olive harvest season, particularly in areas adjacent to settlements or outposts.
Often, colonists operate with military protection, resulting in the detention of Palestinians even when they are attacked. These incidents disrupt the harvest and result in substantial losses for families reliant on olive farming for their livelihoods.
